360|Flex Denver 2011

I'm incredibly humbled and excited to be speaking at 360Flex this year in Denver, CO. Last year in San Jose was my first trip to the event and it was really a great experience. 3 days jam packed full of learning and connecting with fellow developers.

This year I am going to be delivering an introduction to the Parsley framework. I've been using Parsley extensively for the last 7 months and have really enjoyed the experience. So if you have a hand in building RIAs large enough to need a robust modular framework, this talk will likely give you an idea of how Parsley might fit that bill.

More than the knowledge transfer at these events, I really love the connections that it allows. In my day to day life I feel a bit isolated, and while I truly love working from my home office, gatherings like 360|Flex fill a much needed nerd-to-nerd void. Hey Joel, last year i was with you and Jesse Warden taking some bears after 360 parties, as you said sometimes i feel the same. I live in Mexico City and there isnt not so many developers as i could expect, so thats why i enjoy so much to assist that kind of events John orgnizes. Besides this comment it sounds very interesting to me about talking of Parleys, why i should think in Parleys if i have Robotlegs, what is the main use case, or situation where Parsley its a difference to use it. Well i hope i can assits this year to Denver and share some time with you gays, the gurus!!

I'm sorry but why Parsley and not Robolegs. Do or did you leave Robotlegs?

Hey Jadd, I've been using Parsley on a large project for the last 9 months. There is a lot of crossover between the projects as well as a lot of differences. If I were to choose a framework for a project Parsley and Robotlegs would be the two I'd be looking at.

I still love Robotlegs!

I submitted both RL and Parsley talks to 360|Flex and they chose the Parsley talk.
